After an early breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or at your place of residence, he will brief you about your 3 Days wildlife safari to Murchison falls and you will start your 6 hours journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will go through the Luwero, and later have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking; here you will find both black and white rhinos commencing your Big Five Game Count. Lunch follows the thrilling trek.
After lunch, proceed to a tranquil hotel for check-in and refreshment. Enjoy dinner served over an evening campfire amidst friendly chatter.
After an early breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive to explore the wonders of this 3840 sq km sprawling savanna, allowing you to catch the nocturnal animals returning from the night hunt and their prey. The game drive reveals an enthralling world of hyenas, antelopes, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and lions – the legendary Big 4.
You will then prepare for a mid-morning boat ride on the River Nile listening to hippos and marveling at the variety of bird species on show while approaching the marvelous Murchison Falls that give the park its name.
This boat trip allows you to get up close with Nile Crocodiles, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs, and elephants, consider it an extended game ride. The enchantment of the Nile is enhanced by sightings of goliath herons, kingfishers, weaver birds, and other wildlife.
The two-hour boat ride will take you a few metres away from the thundering falls. Also known as Kabalega Falls after the legendary Bunyoro Omukama(king) the falls, considered the most powerful waterfall in the world force the equivalent of 200 bathtubs full of water through a gorge less than seven feet wide. The pressure is so great that the ground trembles around it.
You will embark on a short but steep and scenic hike to the top of Murchison Falls where you will come face to face with its thundering presence. You will enjoy your lunch here and your day will close with a trip back to the hotel for dinner, and a well-deserved overnight rest.
After a fulfilling breakfast, check out of your hotel and journey back to Kampala, reminiscing on the rewarding safari experiences. Lunch will be provided enroute.
