Day 1Tarangire National Park

Distance: 130km
Non-game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs

After breakfast, the tour departs. Our first stop is Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases before we embark on our safari adventure. Afterwards, we head towards Tarangire National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is renowned for its vast elephant population and iconic baobab trees. It plays a crucial role in the annual migratory cycle, hosting up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeests, and 30,000 zebras. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Farm House.

MEALS: Lunch, dinner, bed, and breakfast
ACCOMMODATION: Ngorongoro Farm House

Day 2Serengeti National Park

Distance: 145km
Non-game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the picturesque highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains stretching into the distance as far as the eye can see. Head towards the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. Here, you’ll find the Seronera River, a vital water source attracting a diverse range of wildlife representative of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

MEALS: Lunch, dinner, bed, and breakfast
ACCOMMODATION: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp

Day 3Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

Distance: 145km
Non-game viewing time: 2 – 4 hrs

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, followed by a departure to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, we’ll make a stopover at Olduvai Gorge, steeped in history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that anthropologists Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both significant links in the chain of human evolution. In the late afternoon, transfer to Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

MEALS: Lunch, dinner, bed, and breakfast

Day 4Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Airport

Distance: 210km
Non-game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs

After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major drawcard to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. In the late afternoon, transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay or airport drop-off. (Accommodation can be included upon request at an extra cost).
