After breakfast, transfer to Kampala via the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as Ishasha, home to the famous tree-climbing lions. Keep your eyes peeled for more game as you drive. Upon arrival in the Ishasha area, we will search for the famous and unique tree-climbing lions. On hot days, they can often be found atop the sycamore fig trees or acacia trees that dominate this part of the park.
There are about four prides of lions in the area, totaling more than 40 individuals. Look out for the males with their black manes, a notable attribute. Additionally, there are over 1000 elephants present in the area, and you will likely see large numbers. Topi and Uganda Kob antelopes are also abundant, providing fantastic opportunities for photography.
After your lion-spotting adventure, exit the park and travel via the Mbarara – Kabale road. You will arrive in Mbarara in time for lunch. As you near Kampala, make a stopover at the Equator Crossing, where the imaginary line dividing the earth into two halves passes. Here, you can enjoy fun photo shoots and purchase souvenirs from your Ugandan safari.
Finally, you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport in time for you to check-in for your departure flight home.
